Behind the stage name „Substan“ there's
the in the 1980 born Fabian Heinitz.
He live´s and work´s as a electronic
music producer, film score composer
and sound designer in the East of Germany.

Fabian has been bussy with electronical music
since the mid-90s when he got
a workstation (Korg T3) as a present.
The basic technical knowledge as well as
the faszinating in the potentialities of digital
soundprocessing he gained by talking
to his brother-in-law.

he made first public-appearances in several
local bands as singer and keyboarder.
Later very impressed by electronical music,
the first own live-project "dr.Lügner-projects" started.

In the first time rarly recordings accrued.
He had learned more and more about producing
and composing, so it was time
to change the artistname.

However his comeout succeeded with
the present project " Substan ".
Initial recordings of his live-acts for
the fusion-festival were released as „free music“.
Availble on the internet for free listening
and downloading.

Fabians, also free debüt album
"auf dem grund des flusses" was released
in 2009 on jamendo and it´s drew the attention
of many. In the same year he starts to work as
an sound designer and film score composer.

By now Substan is well known for his
atmospheric, melodic Sounds and his
caracteristical broken beats and for his
minimal and dark techtrance live-acts.
